The Most Wanted Professions in Turkey! İŞKUR Announced…

The Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) recently announced the most searched professions in the first half of the year, in other words, in the last 6 months. This list includes the 10 most searched professions on the internet. Before moving on to these professions, we should also look at the other details in the Statistical Bulletin, which İŞKUR examined for the first half of the year.

According to this report by İŞKUR, the number of registered unemployed is 2.2 million people.

According to this report, 48.5% of the 2,253,851 registered unemployed people are male, while 51.5% are female. In addition, 21.7% are in the 15-24 age group.

According to İŞKUR’s report, 1 million 339 thousand 814 job openings have been made in the last 6 months.

Approximately 200 thousand of these were opened in June and almost all of them are private sector advertisements.

Here are the 10 professions with the most job placements between January and June:

  • Tourism and Hotel Staff (48,612 open job postings, 50,117 people placed)
  • Private Security Officer (Unarmed) (49,320 open job postings, 38,997 people placed)
  • Desk Clerk (27,593 open job postings, 24,272 people placed)
  • Garment Worker (26,168 open job postings, 19,067 people placed)
  • Service Staff (Waiter) (32,028 open job postings, 18,800 people placed)
  • Sales Personnel/Consultant (31,736 open job postings, 16,286 people placed)
  • Market Staff (16,337 open job postings, 13,826 people placed in jobs)
  • Other Manufacturing and Related Workers (Manual) (17,245 job openings, 13,310 people placed in jobs)
  • Retail Salesperson (Food) (13,907 job openings, 12,008 people placed in jobs)
  • Security Officer (15,118 job openings, 10,577 people placed in jobs)

In addition, the highest number of jobs were hired in the manufacturing sector.
